30. A health professional with the authority to make a diagnosis who diagnoses an infection by human immunodeficiency virus or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome in a person who has received blood, blood products, organs or tissue must declare it to the competent public health director, using a written report sent within 48 hours of the diagnosis.
The same applies where such a diagnosis is given in respect of a person who has already given blood, organs or tissue.
